    | Description The MC226 offers conductivity measurements for a wide range of routine
laboratory applications utilizing a plastic bodied, four carbon ring
potentiometric conductivity probe which offers accurate measurement over the
range 0-199.9 mS/cm. Aggressive samples, which may attack the carbon, or
ones that contain oils and fats which combine with the carbon, reducing
probe performance, can be measured with a glass bodied four ring probe.
For more accurate determinations the MC226 should be used in conjunction
with a glass flow through cell. The samples avoids atmospheric contact
thereby preventing carbon dioxide adsorption which leads to apparently high
    results.

    | Features and Benefits The MC226 measures in two modes: conductivity or total dissolved solids. It
can be tailored to the particular sample type through selectable temperature
coefficient used in automatic temperature compensation in the conductivity
mode and, in the total dissolved solids mode, an adjustable solids factor,
which is the ratio between total dissolved solids and conductivity.
